How are you today? I pray that this message finds you well and that life is going wonderfully for you. Spring is here and warmer temperatures are on the rise in Michigan. I am excited about life and all that is to come for you and for me. Although life hasn't always been so great, I've learned something recently that I want to share with you.
In last week's newsletter I shared with you that I was on vacation in Florida. What you don't know is that I do not like to fly even though I do it at least once a year. Well this time I did it twice in one week! Ughh!!! The first plane ride was wonderful. There were no issues, first class travel and all. But the second trip.... well, that is a different story. The flight down to Florida was smooth and turbulence free. The ride home had me Praying with a capital P. It was bumpy and anything but smooth. The turbulence seemed to last for hours when in reality it was only 10 minutes. It was scary. My son held my hand so tightly. He was even more afraid than I was. Eventually it ended and we went on our merry way as if it never happened.
The lesson is that no matter the turbulence in life, it won't last....
The second lesson I want you to get from this is very profound. The turbulence was due to us moving closer to our destination. Pause and think on that for a minute. As you move toward your destiny you are going to have turbulence. Turbulence is a sign that you are in motion and going somewhere. Don't worry, it doesn't last.
As we were going through the turbulence I thanked God for it ending and believed that we would be okay and reach our destination safely. We did. And so will you. So if you are not currently enjoying warmer temperatures in your life and things seem to be topsy-turvy, rest assured that you are moving forward and that this turbulence is proof that your destination is closer than you think.
