Hey Love Bugs,
How are you today? I pray that this message finds you well and that life is going wonderfully for you. Spring is here and warmer temperatures are on the rise in Michigan. I am excited about life and all that is to come for you and for me. Although life hasn't always been so great, I've learned something recently that I want to share with you. In last week's newsletter I shared with you that I was on vacation in Florida. What you don't know is that I do not like to fly even though I do it at least once a year. Well this time I did it twice in one week! Ughh!!! The first plane ride was wonderful. There were no issues, first class travel and all. But the second trip.... well, that is a different story. The flight down to Florida was smooth and turbulence free. The ride home had me Praying with a capital P. It was bumpy and anything but smooth. The turbulence seemed to last for hours when in reality it was only 10 minutes. It was scary. My son held my hand so tightly. He was even more afraid than I was. Eventually it ended and we went on our merry way as if it never happened. The lesson is that no matter the turbulence in life, it won't last....

Hello Ladies and Gents,
I hope that this newsletter finds you well. Although I am on vacation in the Sunshine State, I want to tell you a story that I hope inspires you to live your best life even in the worst of circumstances. I hope this encourages you to move forward with your dreams. Alex was in a relationship that did not help her. Her honey was more salt than sweet. He was less supportive than a pair of stilettos. They had been together for five years and she really loved him. They had been married only a few months when she noticed that he enjoyed being alone more than being with her. It did not help that they had a set of twins who demanded more of her than she was willing to give. She worked full-time at a job she loathed more than a bee sting, but it paid the bills. In still moments, Alex found herself daydreaming of a better life. Where her children were grown and her man was gone for good. She wanted desperately to launch a small baking company catering for special events. Alex had been a baker since she was 7 and it was certified by her winning the best pie contest at the local fair 5 years in a row. When she went to college it was her baking skills that she relied on for the extra money to help her stay above water. After meeting Everett, whom she believed to be the love of her life, she quickly forgot about her first true love and gave herself over to her new love. Everett was passionate and loving in the beginning. But the days of him being cold and distant were too much to take. Hey Ya'll,
I just got back from a conference and man oh man was it amazing! It was EPIC! Not only was that the conference title, but truly it lived up to the name. I met people who are at the top of the speaking, coaching, and writing/blogging industry. These folks are household names and they educated and enlightened us. The experience was more than words can express. It was the first time that I had been to a conference outside of Direct Sales that was all encompassing. I left with the most significant breakthrough in my head and heart that I have ever had in my life. I mean the tips and tools will help us all go to the next level because I plan to share them. But the biggest revelation I got from the conference is that "I am E.P.I.C.!" By now you all know that I love acronyms. After this weekend E.P.I.C. now means... Did you have an AMAZING March? I know I did! I have to tell you the truth, one of my favorite things about writing to you each week is that it inspires and encourages ME! I hope it inspires you too. But I don't want you to lose what I've shared this month due to the build up of life. So check out the video link for a quick recap of what we shared in March. Continue to L.E.A.P. as we move into the month of April. To Your Success, Coach Char Hey Y'all!
I am super excited for us as we March into our Destiny! My dream is that you are indeed L.E.A.P.-ing forward and are working towards making your dreams come true. If not, allow me to push you forward. While watching a video on Facebook (yes, it is one of my guilty pleasures) I came across a video with a young man singing Ribbon in the Sky by Stevie Wonder. The young man may have been 15 or so years old and he sang very well. He showed a great vocal range and ability for a person his age. When he was nearing the end of the song, guess what happened? Mr. Steveland Morris, better known as Stevie Wonder, joined him. The young man was surprised and was unable to speak for a while. When he regained his composure, he asked can I hug you? Stevie obliged and they played piano while singing together. Of course, I was super excited and smiling from ear to ear because you know how much I adore Stevie Wonder. Then it hit me. Whose Stevie Wonder am I? As a huge fan of Old School music, I use the message in the music to help move you forward.
In the popular song by Jean Carne, she warns her lover to not let it go to his head since he now knows how she feels about him. The chorus states don't let it go to your head, baby. How does this apply to you? Have you ever tried to Leap forward, but had the voices in your head tell you nope, nada, no way, Jose? Have you ever started to daydream about creating a better future for yourself and your family only to be met with resistance from your own thoughts? Yep, me too. But it doesn't have to be that way. You see we control our thoughts. We can dwell on a negative thought just as easily as dwelling on a positive thought. You decide. Hey y'all!
It is March already! Can you believe it? Where did the time go? We have just had our leap day and I feel like encouraging you to L.E.A.P. I have not given you an acronym in a while so here it is: L. Limit the influence of toxic things and people. E. Elevate your game. Now is the time to arise. A. Assess your game plan. Is it working or do you need to try something else? P. Prepare to prosper! It's time to leap into our destinies. I do not want to go alone so I hope that you will L.E.A.P. with me. Stay connected to the weekly newsletter and my Social Media streams to hear about a program I designed specifically to help you L.E.A.P. in 2016. In Abundance, Coach Char This month is the month that Black History is celebrated. Although I celebrate all year long, some people take a special time to celebrate the many wonders and accomplishments of Black People. I was talking with someone about speaking in public. She was nervous and unsure if she could "deliver" as well as she needed to. She was anxious and thought that I since I speak for a living I would understand and have some good tips to give her. I told her that she would be fine. I told her that she came from greatness and greatness is in her. I reassured her that she will be great because she is great. I reminded her that her ancestors did wonderful and marvelous things. Therefore, you have the same power that they did to do marvelous things. Now go do them!
